Hello, I'm Tom. Thank you for visiting my site.

I'm a curator and an academic. Wearing both those hats my work explores how to foster equitable relationships between museums and communities which, all too often, have been excluded by museums.

I also make and exhibit art.

Over the past thirteen years I’ve held curatorial positions at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, the University of Cambridge’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and Gunnersbury Park Museum in West London, where I am currently the Senior Curator. I’ve also researched and published as an academic at the University of Cambridge's Heritage Research Centre, which is where I did my PhD.

My curatorial work has been positively reviewed by various national and international media outlets including Lost Art, Diva, BBC Radio 4, the Guardian, the Scotsman, and the New Scientist.

Successful teamwork is a source of great satisfaction for me and I’m at my happiest when bringing people together to produce outcomes which we all take pride in.
