Hi, I’m Tom and I love museums. Over the past ten years I’ve worked in curatorial positions at the Horniman Museum and Gardens and at the University of Cambridge’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. I’ve also researched and published as an academic at the University's Heritage Research Centre, which is where I undertook my PhD. For the year of 2023 I'll be Senior Curator at Gunnersbury Park and Museum.
I’ve taken on consultancy roles at the Powell-Cotton Museum and English Heritage. As my practice has developed I’ve combined my practical experience and research interests to specialise in interactive displays, co-curation methodologies, and audience development.
My curatorial work has been positively reviewed by various national and international media outlets including BBC Radio 4, the Guardian, the Scotsman, the Times Literary Supplement, and the New Scientist.
Looking to the future, I’m keen to take on complex and challenging projects which allow me to draw on my broad experience. Successful teamwork is a source of great satisfaction for me and I’m at my happiest when bringing people together to produce exceptional outcomes.
