ART

The art I make is about places. Often it explores something distinct about a place: how a tidal island is cut off from the rest of the world for a few hours every day, or the feeling of the countless human experiences contained within the walls of an ancient building. I like the idea that there are some places where the distance between the past and present collapses and different worlds might brush past each other, or even become mixed.

Although I've been making art for years, I do not have formal training as an artist. If I did my work would be informed by different things. Certainly my training and research in archaeology and heritage studies as well as my work in museums shapes my output.
