I started my career by curating Scotland's first exhibition of contemporary Iraqi art. That was in 2009 when I was fresh out of undergrad. In the years that followed I worked as a curator at the Horniman Museum and Gardens on their multimillion pound world cultures gallery. In the past five years I've broadened my curatorial experience at the University of Cambridge’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, taking in disciplines as diverse as zoology, history of science, and archaeology. Subsequently as Senior Curator at Gunnersbury Park Museum I refined my co-production practice and leadership skills. Outside of institutions, I'm always working on a new idea, either alone or with other artists. As well as realising exhibitions I'm interested in the opportunities which emerge when curatorial practice spills over into event programming.
